The Street Project Foundation – a Social Enterprise that uses creative arts as a tool to facilitate opportunities for youth employment and engagement – recently organised a three-day immersive event to amplify their Digital Amazons Programme.

The final day featured a pitch competition where Digital Amazons Programme participants presented innovative business ideas to a panel of distinguished judges.

Coming out tops were Digital Amazons Emy Josephs, Rachel Alajemba, and Abe-Ezekiel Naomi who received cash prizes of a NGN250,000 each, and seed funds to start-up their entrepreneurial journey.

In addition, 20 Digital Amazons received consolation prizes of business registrations, while the Naija Youth Entrepreneurship Network also awarded NGN50,000 each to four Digital Amazons, while the Foundation for Social Innovation awarded a Digital Amazon with another N50,000 seed fund.

Operating since 2008 (and fully registered in 2014), the Street Project Foundation caters to young people aged 16 to 25 years who are from low-income backgrounds and passionate about any form of the performance arts. The organisation named Julia Oku Jacks as its new Board Chairman, effective February 2024.
