Leaders are seeing major shifts in how businesses operate as both ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and Sustainability have become essential considerations for business success worldwide.

Chizor Malize (CEO, Financial Institutions Training Centre – FITC) very recently led the FITC during its launch of the company’s ESG & Sustainability Institute – a centre geared towards research and helping companies adopt the transformative potentials of ESG

Succinctly capturing the highlights of the event, Malize notes that as the global population becomes more environmentally conscious, consumers are increasingly demanding that companies take full responsibility for their actions, both in terms of environmental impact and ethical behaviour:

I am thrilled to announce the successful launch of our FITC SUSTAINABILITY & ESG Institute, a milestone that reflects our unwavering commitment to fostering sustainability and ethical governance in today’s dynamic business landscape. A great partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria that would raise the bar in ESG adoption and practices across industries as underscored by the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Chairman, Board of Directors at FITC Philip Ikeazor in his Keynote Address

âś… The launch event was a resounding success, drawing a diverse audience of industry leaders, sustainability advocates, and ESG experts, all united by a common goal: to drive meaningful change through responsible business practices.

âś… Our speakers and panel Discussants delivered powerful messages on the urgency and importance of integrating ESG principles into corporate strategies. They highlighted innovative approaches and practical solutions that businesses can adopt to not only meet regulatory requirements but also create long-term value for stakeholders and the society at large. The presentations and insights were enriched by these thought leaders: Andrey B. Professor Fabian Ajogwu, OFR, SAN Kenneth Amaeshi Oluwasoromidayo George Ejiro Gray Femi Shobanjo Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan Wayne Dunn Ndidi, Dr Nnoli-Edozien

âś… The discussions underscored the transformative potential of ESG, from mitigating environmental impact through cutting-edge technologies to advancing social equity and inclusive growth.

âś… One of the many rewarding aspects of the event was moderating the Plenary discussion with distinguished professionals. It was also an opportunity to engage with fellow professionals who are equally passionate about sustainability. The exchange of ideas and best practices was incredibly enriching, sparking new collaborations and inspiring initiatives that we are eager to explore further.

âś… Our ESG Institute is poised to be a leading platform for research, education, and advocacy in the field of sustainability. We are dedicated to providing resources, training, and support to help organizations navigate the complexities of ESG integration.

âś… We recognize the importance of partnerships and collaboration in achieving the goals of our institute. Together, we can drive the change needed to build a more sustainable and equitable future.

âś…Thank you to everyone who participated in the launch and to all who continue to support our mission.
