Last week, Tommie Edwards (Founder, Tech1M), alongside her fellow G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance colleagues, converged in Dubai for a two-day meet.

The 500,000-strong global network, which represents young entrepreneurs and their support systems, highlights the role that entrepreneurship plays in driving economic renewal, job creation, innovation, and social change.

Says Tommie: “In Dubai, we met with leaders from diverse entrepreneurial associations under 40, strategized our next steps, and explored key topics of interest to the global economic community.

“Dubai, with its blend of tradition and a future-focused vision, provided an inspiring backdrop for our discussions. We also had the privilege of collaborating with counterparts from around the world. I am grateful to have been joined by our UK sherpa, Christopher Beckford.

“Serving as UK President of the G20YEA, under the UK Entrepreneurs Alliance has connected me with remarkable leaders. It was an honour to have met distinguished representatives from other countries – Alessandro Somaschini and Erika R. from Italy.

Glad to have reconnected with Christoph Seydel and Kirsten Müller from Germany and Alex Gill, the moderator and secretary of the alliance.

Other representatives included Areeba Rehman and Umar Rehman from France, and Gürkan Yıldırım and Melike Bocan from Turkey, while Vishal Agarwalla and Pallavi Chumki Barua represented India.

Argentina was represented by Fausto Martín Brighenti – 骨之主, Mégane Visette from Canada, Tianqi Han from China, and Marcus Mafia, Lucas Souza, and Marcelo Silva from Brazil. Also met Filipe Quinaz from Portugal, and Melvyn Goh 吴文贵 from Singapore.

I look forward to the upcoming Summit in Brazil this June 2024!”
