Tabi Joda is an environmental advocate, agroforester, and entrepreneur dedicated to forest restoration and sustainable development in Africa. He is the founder and CEO of GreenAid, an organisation promoting forest landscape restoration, and leading the “One Billion Trees for Africa” initiative. Through this project, he has planted over one million trees and restored ecosystems across several countries, including Cameroon, Nigeria, and Burkina Faso. The initiative combines environmental sustainability with economic opportunities, employing youth and women in agroforestry and value-added product creation, such as skincare items and food supplements.
While working on an Agribusiness Development Programme for youths in the Sahel project, Tabi Joda notes:

For example, initiatives like the Soil Values Program aim to improve soil fertility and promote sustainable farming practices across Sahelian countries such as Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, with significant international funding and collaboration from organisations like the IFDC and SNV​.
Designed to address critical challenges such as food insecurity, climate change impacts, and the need for economic empowerment among youth, the Agribusiness Development Programme is part of broader initiatives aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and resilience in the region.
Joda’s work emphasizes combating deforestation, creating jobs, and preventing “climate refugees” by building sustainable local economies. He has received several awards, including recognition as an African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative (AFR100) Youth Ambassador and the Africa Climate Information Services Innovation Award in 2017
