Damilola Olokesusi (Co-Founder & CEO, Shuttlers)

Damilola Olokesusi launched bus-hailing app Shuttlers in 2016 to provide scheduled, safe, reliable, and affordable transportation options for Nigerians, particularly young female professionals.

In a bid to express an ongoing commitment to reinventing the mass-transit experience in Africa, Shuttlers recently hosted Edition II of its Vehicle Partners Conference, bringing together a network of 150+ vehicle partners and 50+ potential partners, while celebrating the partners for their dedication to a shared vision.

Says Olokesusi:

It was also a great opportunity to launch the mobile version of our Shuttlers vehicle partner’s app, we welcomed the new vehicle partners to our ecosystem, and most importantly celebrated the vehicle partners who have grown their fleet with us over the years. The Shuttlers team, who are at the heart of our operations, had the chance to see firsthand the impact of our solution on 150 partner businesses. This experience has deepened their appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

Shuttlers raised $4 million in April 2023 (in a funding round led by Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures, with participation from existing investors, including VestedWorld) to expand its mass transit business in Nigeria.

The year 2024 saw Damilola winning the 2024 Legit Business Names Awards as an inspiring figure for breaking barriers and shaping the future of mobility in Nigeria
