‘A window to endless possibilities”: Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun hails the launch of the Ogun Tech Hub ‘Window on America‘

A few weeks ago, GFA Technologies partnered with the U.S. Consulate and the Ogun State Government to launch the Ogun Tech Hub ‘Window on America‘ – a free, U.S.-backed American Space established in Abeokuta, which aims to empower Nigerian youth through technology, education, and leadership programs, while strengthening cultural and educational links between Ogun State and the United States.

Serving as the 29th American Space in Nigeria, the centre is designed as a vibrant, interactive hub offering the following free and publicly accessible services:

  • High-speed internet, modern computers, and workspace
  • Digital literacy workshops: AI, robotics, drone tech, entrepreneurship
  • Leadership development and employability training
  • EducationUSA advising and guidance for U.S. study opportunities
  • Access to eLibraryUSA, a vast digital library of scholarly articles, books, and multimedia content

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun described the initiative as “a window to endless possibilities,” emphasizing its role in connecting local youth to global innovation and professional networks

GFA Technologies has reportedly invested ~₦400 million (Nigerian Naira) and employs over 1,000 software engineers at the Ogun Tech Hub, reinforcing the emphasis on job creation and tech-sector development in the region.

Acting U.S. Consul General, JoEllen Gorg, highlighted the project as a symbol of engagement and opportunity, geared toward deepening educational, cultural, and entrepreneurial connections with Nigeria.

Nigeria now hosts 29 American Spaces across 24 cities, its largest in Africa, running over 4,400 programs annually and reaching more than 100,000 Nigerians each year.

The Ogun Tech Hub Window on America adds to this network by offering a local, technology-focused site specifically for youth, educators, entrepreneurs, and creative professionals in Ogun State and neighboring areas.
