One week ago, Moniepoint CEO, Tosin Eniolorunda, announced that the company has been named among the UK’s leading fintech firms by CNBC, an achievement he described as a powerful validation of the company’s global impact. For Moniepoint’s users, this breakthrough signals more than just international recognition. It opens up opportunities for seamless cross-border financial services, stronger trust in the brand’s global credibility, and potential new tools to connect African businesses with international markets. With the UK being one of the world’s leading financial hubs, Moniepoint’s presence there underscores its ambition to bridge African enterprise with global commerce.

The award follows several recent milestones for Moniepoint which reiterate the Company’s significant momentum and ongoing commitment to widening access to the formal financial system.

Notably, Moniepoint expanded its offering to Africans in the international diaspora via the launch of the MonieWorld platform earlier this year. MonieWorld offers seamless remittance and digital financial services capabilities to individuals in international markets including the UK; the first time the Company has provided services to consumers outside Africa.

This latest accolade follows Moniepoint’s inclusion among CNBC’s list of the world’s top 300 fintech companies in July. Earlier in 2025, the company was named in the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list, demonstrating its extraordinary impact. Moniepoint has also been recognised by the Financial Times for three consecutive years as one of Africa’s fastest-growing companies, reflecting its remarkable revenue growth and business expansion; and by CB Insights in the Fintech 100 list, highlighting the Company’s status as one of the world’s most promising private fintech companies

Eniolorunda says:

Making this list in our very first year of operating in the UK is proof of the impact we are building globally. From empowering businesses in Africa to expanding into new markets, our mission remains the same and we are not relenting,

Founded in 2015 by Tosin Eniolorunda and Felix Ike, Moniepoint (formerly TeamApt Inc.) is a leading advocate for financial inclusion across Africa and the diaspora – especially for individuals and businesses operating in the informal economy, underserved by formal and traditional institutions. Today, the Company supports more than 10 million customers and processes over one billion transactions monthly with volumes exceeding US$22 billion. Its comprehensive, integrated platform spans digital banking, credit, payments, and business management tools – offering a seamless digital financial experience.

As Eniolorunda noted, the journey is far from over. Moniepoint remains committed to “powering dreams and enabling progress”—a mission that now resonates not only across Africa but also on the global fintech stage.
