With growing concerns about unhealthy diets as one of the leading risks for the global burden of disease (mainly noncommunicable disorders such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancer), evidence has shown the immense health benefits of a diet high in whole grains, vegetables, fruit, legumes and nuts in effectively countering disease.
In comes Adedayo Oluwole who runs Kasher Organic Farms – a proudly Nigerian organic farm in Ogun State which she founded to grow and sell fresh produce, microgreens, fruits, vegetables, potted herbs, and derivatives such as cold brew coffee, honey, flour, and artisan baked goods (sourdough bread, Rye, seeded and sweetbreads).
The organic produce and products derived from Kasher Organic Farms are made available to the public through a family-friendly farmer’s market in the heart of Lagos, located in a wonderful green space with a covered outdoor sitting area. The market opens to the public on the last Saturday of every month.
