Yesterday, we presented MaaD, (read here), one of the mission-driven founders backed by the Ventures Platform Fund.

And there’s more. Here’s a recap of some of of the Fund’s recent investments in companies building the future of Africa, through innovative market-creating solutions:

🇪🇬 Karcel (formerly known as Voom)
Founders: Abobakr Elmashtoly, Mohammed Kamel
On a mission to digitize used car transactions in Egypt, Karcel offers a secure platform for seamless transactions, advanced technical inspection procedures, a transparent online pricing system and financing options for both users and merchants. The company aims to be the go-to digital automotive platform, empowering individuals and businesses at any phase of their car ownership journey.

🇸🇳 Lengo AI
Founders: Max A. Smith, Ismaïla SECK, Roger-Xavier Macia
Stop guessing Africa! Lengo is building an AI-driven intelligence platform and operating system for informal retail. This enables Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands to better understand the largely unorganized retail sector and succeed across various markets on the continent, starting with Senegal.

🇳🇬 MDaaS Global
Founders: Genevieve Barnard Oni , Oluwasoga Oni
MDaaS is bridging the gap in diagnostics by building Africa’s largest network of private diagnostic facilities, providing comprehensive, high-quality, and affordable care for the continent’s next billion, starting with Nigeria. This investment is a follow-on, reaffirming our commitment to their mission.

Over the past eight years, Ventures Platform have backed more than 90 companies across seven countries.

The company reiterates:

If you are building something innovative on the continent, reach out to us – https://lnkd.in/ds27axda
