Apply: Green Youth Upskilling Program (GYUP) by Oando Foundation

The Green Youth Upskilling Program (GYUP) is a forward-looking initiative powered by The Oando Foundation, with NCIC – designed to prepare young Nigerians for emerging opportunities in the green economy. As climate change and environmental challenges reshape the global workforce, this program equips youth with practical, future-focused skills that promote sustainability, innovation, and economic inclusion.

In 2025, GYUP is looking to equip 25 passionate and driven young individuals who will receive:

  • Hands-on training in renewable energy, recycling innovation, sustainable agriculture, and climate tech.
  • Mentorship from industry experts and ecosystem leaders.
  • Access to grants and funding opportunities to kickstart green ventures.
  • Exposure and visibility to help grow their solutions and career path.
  • A strong peer community of fellow green youth leaders and changemakers.

GYUP is also committed to promoting equity and inclusivity throughout the program. Priority will be given to:

  • Young women and women-led initiatives
  • Applicants from marginalized or underserved communities
  • Persons with disabilities (PWDs)
  • Diverse representation across l
  • Local communities in Lagos
