Last weekend, Solape Akinpelu (Founder & CEO, Hervest) was, this past weekend, honoured with the Women in Tech Award, at the Art of Technology Lagos 5.0 (AOT 5.0) conference.

Hervest is a a digital platform that provides financial inclusion for females by enabling easy access to savings, impact investments and credit financing for smallholder women farmers and women-owned/ led SMEs in Nigeria.

Says Solape: “A heartfelt thank you to the AOT Team for this incredible recognition. I am beyond grateful to be acknowledged among such brilliant minds in the tech community. This one is for every woman on that nominee list. It’s for every woman pushing bar by bar.

“This award is not just a win for me, but a celebration of every woman in tech pushing boundaries and making a difference. Here’s to breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation of tech leaders! 🌟”

AOT recognises the creative economy sector of Lagos State (Nigeria) as a key contributor to the state’s economy that is poised for further growth in the coming years, to include a range of industries that includes film, music, fashion, design, and advertising.

The focus for the 2023 AOT 5.0 was tagged ‘The Creative Economy and a Digital Lagos’.
