Emerging from the stables of Enam Gbewonyo is a new soft sculpture installation that will make its debut alongside a selection of film and artworks as part of the upcoming group exhibition, Neo-Custodians: Woven Narratives of Legacy, Cultural Memory and Belonging.

Neo-Custodians: Woven Narratives of Legacy, Cultural Memory and Belonging expands on the conceptual function of textiles in exploring cultural practices, histories, heritage, and notions of belonging within the African and diasporic canon. Referencing existing textile pedagogies, the exhibition showcases the works of artists including El Anatsui, Malene Barnett, Layo Bright, Celeste Butler, Sanaa Gateja, Enam Gbewonyo, Eddy Kamuanga Ilunga, Seydou Keita, Ron Norsworthy, Nnenna Okore, Patrick Quarm, Latrelle Rostant, and Yinka Shonibare.
