The Amplify Bootcamp – a specialized five-day music industry bootcamp designed to empower emerging music artists and their managers – was organized by the French Embassy in Nigeria under the CrĂ©ation Africa Fund.

As part of the Amplify Bootcamp (which took place between March and April 2025), participants had the rare opportunity to compete for project support grants. From an incredible pool of submissions, six outstanding winners from Abuja and Lagos were each awarded ₦1,750,000 to bring their visionary projects to life.

The winners and their projects

@Fewa_ijaola Rewind – The EP & Listening Party= Redefining women’s paths in Nigerian music with timeless and resonant sounds.

@darkensparky Campus to Career – A one-day masterclass series bridging student talent with the professional music industry across three tertiary institutions in Abuja.

@ife_musiq & @mrkelzibedu Echoes of Home – A digital mini-series promoting the Igbo language through music and storytelling.

@shime_ahua BLOOM EP – A debut Indie/Folk project exploring grief, survival, and rebirth through deeply personal music.

@krayonisaiah R&B Jam – A live event series celebrating African R&B heritage and spotlighting future sounds from emerging artists in Port Harcourt.

@Ogeabeats18 & @biobelemoye A Year Later – The debut concert of OGEA, marking his artistic journey with a powerful live introduction to audiences.

The bootcamp aimed to equip upcoming Nigerian musicians and their managers with key industry skills—ranging from storytelling and pitching to understanding legal aspects (e.g., IP), developing artistic communication, leveraging social media, refining artistic identity, and crafting career plans.
