New York, #UNGA79: Chef Tolani (Founder, Diary of a Kitchen Lover – 2nd R) and other Chef Goalkeeprs 📸GatesFoundation

Every year, Goalkeepers (a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation initiative) recognises remarkable individuals taking action to help achieve the Global Goals for Sustainable Development by 2030. As individuals, Goalkeepers are developing fresh ideas and doing innovative work to accelerate the progress across the goals in their region.

This year’s Goalkeepers 2030 is all about nutrition, bringing some of the world’s best-known chefs to raise awareness about malnutrition and highlight simple, sustainable solutions that are within reach.

Says Goalkeepers:

With @fieldtripusa by @chefjj—Harlem’s own community-focused rice bowl shop—and in collaboration with @hungryforaction, we proudly launched the first-ever Goalkeepers Food Truck at UNGA79, serving nutritious, climate-friendly meals. 🌱🚚

A huge thank you to our incredible Chef Goalkeepers: @marcuscooks, @ranveer.brar, @diaryofakitchenlover, @eitan, @simonauscher, @chefgraceramirez, @cristinabowermanchef for your leadership in inspiring healthier, more sustainable futures!

The Goalkeepers community is a global collective of collaborative and diverse changemakers, whose members include both emerging and well-known leaders who live all over the world and represent an eclectic range of cultures, professions, and interests.

As a community, they are committed to achieving the 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development, an ambitious blueprint for reimagining a better future for all by 2030, agreed upon by all member states of the United Nations.
